In addition to the lake and river activities in spring and summer, fall brings some of the finest big game hunting the nation has to offer.
Wintertime offers cross-country skiing through pristine scenery, moonlight rides with sled dogs, ice skating, walks in the crisp air, great ice fishing and snowmobiling on hundreds of miles of backcountry trails.

ADVENTURE ON YOUR AGENDA
Mountain adventure surrounds you at Montana Island Lodge. Famous fly fishing is steps away. A dozen mountain lakes are within a short drive. Or simply pass quiet days admiring pristine mountain splendor.
THE HEART OF WESTERN MONTANA
Montana Island Lodge is located on Salmon Lake, a 5 mile lake at the southernmost tip of the Seeley-Swan valley. The valley separates the largest and oldest wilderness ecosystem in the Continental United States. The Mission Mountains lie to the west; Glacier National Park is just north; and the legendary Bob Marshall Wilderness is just eastward. Whatís more, the Blackfoot-Clearwater Game Range surrounds on three sides, protecting your surroundings from private development.
